1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Legalshelf ("the Platform"), operated by SPLP Law ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.
2. Nature of Services
Legalshelf provides legal document templates and custom drafting services. The documents on this Platform are:
- Drafted by qualified Nigerian lawyers
- Templates for general use — NOT tailored legal advice for your specific situation
- Not a substitute for professional legal advice from a qualified lawyer
For complex legal matters, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified lawyer directly.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform.
4. Payment Terms
All payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or US Dollars (USD). Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment methods include Paystack, PayPal, cryptocurrency, and bank transfer. Wallet credits earned through ads or referrals have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
5. Referral Programme
The referral programme allows users to earn wallet credits by referring new users. Referral credits are credited at our sole discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. We reserve the right to void credits obtained through fraudulent activity.
6. Intellectual Property
All documents, templates, and content on this Platform are the intellectual property of SPLP Law. You may use downloaded documents for your own personal or business purposes only. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense documents obtained from this Platform.
7. Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, SPLP Law shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Platform or any documents obtained from it. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific document or service.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
